Cadet High School Credit Co-Op Program

Earn High School COOP Credits during the Regular Training year!

Any current air, army or sea cadet who already has achieved at least one high school credit and is a student in Ontario is eligible. This year’s program starts 1 Oct 2019, so any hours of training conducted with cadets from today on count towards accumulating time for credits. One credit is equivalent to 90 hours of training time.

Once a cadet is registered, they will be contacted by Sandy McDonald with the assignments required. He will do his best to visit cadets during training at the unit, however, it is far more likely that he will visit at common training events such as competitions so that he can see multiple cadets at the same time, making it more effective.

Earn High School COOP Credits in Cadet Summer Training!

If you attend any of the National Summer Training camps you are eligible to receive 2 high school credits.

Through the Upper Canada District School Board this program is open to all cadets who are currently enrolled at an Ontario Secondary School recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education, who have earned at least one Ontario credit at the secondary level. Area covers all Summer Training Centres across Ontario and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec.

Cadets registered in the program will be required to complete:

  • some preparatory work prior to summer training
  • a weekly reflection/journal/logbook or similar assignment while undergoing training
  • submit a short final project summarizing their summer training experience

Completion of this work remains the cadet’s responsibility and the expectation is that the work be completed during the cadet’s free time.
