Local Daytime Activities

The intention to apply for the Introduction to Aircraft Maintenance is currently OPEN.

What are local daytime activities? 


Local daytime activities will provide experiences related to regional training activities. Whether it is seamanship, expeditions, marksmanship or aircraft maintenance, these activities will provide specific skills to participating cadets.

All activities will take place during the day with no overnight. Most activities will be held on weekends from July 5 to August 15.

Please note that some activities will only be offered in certain zones. Activities available to participating cadets will be held within one hour of travel time.



Discover our planes and how they are maintained!!! These activities will take place at St-Jean-sur-Richelieu Airport (transportation provided) and provide hands on learning on:

  • How airplanes work
  • Aircraft inspections
  • Current maintenance actions
  • Sheet metal work, nuts, bolts and and lock wire
  • Tool handling
  • Mechanic assisted engine test run

Open to Proficiency Level 3+ cadets (qualified). Limited spots available. The activity are one day in duration (±0800-1600) and will not involve any overnight stay. 

Sign-up is for one of the two days - noth both! Delivery to be provided in English.  


Aiming for excellence, one shot at a time! The marksmanship clinics will allow cadets to develop their marksmanship skills. Open to cadets of all levels.  The Clinics are half-day in duration (AM = 0830-1130; PM = 1300-1600) and schedule to take place on Juy 24-25.  Location TBC.
