ACL Bursaries & Awards


The Air Cadet League (ACL) has several bursaries, scholarships, and awards to support cadets.  Please see below for information and the forms on how to apply.  All applications and supporting documents needed must be sent to 742squadron@gmail.com to the CO Major Element.

General Overview:

All scholarships are open to students that are members of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets during the year of application, and they are awarded based on secondary school scholastic achievement, combined with outstanding performance as an Air Cadet.

Applications and supporting documents for all National Education Scholarships must be received in digital form (one PDF file) no later than April 1st 2019 at the National Office of the Air Cadet League of Canada, leaguehq@aircadetleague.com. The email and the one PDF file should be titled beginning with ed_schol_2019_and your name such as: ed_schol_2019_Fred_Jones.PDF.

Information to be provided in digital form (one PDF file):

  • A completed application form;
  • A statement of approximately 300 words outlining your career goals and objectives. Explain why you wish to attend the institution you have chosen, and what benefits you will gain from post-secondary education;
  • A letter of recommendation from your Squadron’s Commanding Officer;
  • A letter of support from the Chairperson of your Squadron’s Sponsoring Committee;
  • Any other recommendations will be considered. i.e. School Principal, Department Head, or Counselor;
  • A copy of the most recently available Transcript of Marks from either the Secondary School, or from the Ministry of Education. For Québec Cadets - Secondary 5 Transcript.
